With the new Kobo 1.9 firmware upgrade for Kobo Wifi eReader, there are three new features which allow you to better manage your Kobo eReader library. These features can be easily accessed right from your “I’m Reading” library.

The first new feature is “Update Library”, this option allows you to update and sync your library right from your menu in the “I’m Reading” library. The second feature is the “Close Book”, this option allows you to close any book you have currently open in your “I’m Reading” library. And the third feature is “Remove From List”, which will move your book from “I’m Reading” library to your “Books” library.

To use “Update Library” feature:

1. Press the Menu button and go to your “I’m Reading” library.

2. Using your directional pad scroll down to “Update Library” and select it.

3. If your WIFI settings are off your Kobo eReader will ask you to “enable your wireless settings”.

4. Your Kobo eReader will then proceed with syncing your library and updating your bookmarks.

To use “Close Book” feature:

1. Go to your “I’m Reading” library and access the book which you wish to close.

2. Go to Menu and using the directional pad scroll down to “Close Book” feature and select it.

3. Your book will be automatically removed from your “I’m Reading” library and moved to “Books” library where it will appear marked as “Closed”.

4. If you wish to put your book back to “I’m Reading” library and mark it as “Open”, simply access the book.

To use “Remove From List” feature:

1. Go to your “I’m Reading” library and select the book which you wish to remove from list.

2. Go to Menu and with the directional pad scroll down to “Remove From List” feature and select it.

3. Your book will be automatically removed from your “I’m Reading” library and moved to “Books” library where it will appear marked as “Closed”.
