Does your pen have pinache? Calling all young authors for the Hot Key Books Young Writers Prize

Posted by Kobo June  20, 2013

At Kobo everything we do is for Readers, so it’s only natural that we want to find great books and the people that write them. That's why today we’re happy to share that we’re supporting the second annual Hot Key Books Young Writers Prize.

The contest is designed to discover talented unpublished writers between the ages of 18-25 from all around the globe. Last year over 350 entries were submitted and two lucky writers had their work published with Hot Key Books. Keep your eyes open for The Rig by Joe Ducie and Vivian Versus the Apocalypse by Katie Coyle in the Kobo eBookstore this coming September!

Our very own Antonia Fowler, Merchandiser of Children’s Books will be on the judging panel to help find the next young adult author. Antonia, a publishing veteran and avid booklover, is looking forward to reading all the submissions.

The contest opens today and is open until July 22 and Kobo will be contributing to ten Kobo eReading devices to the amazing grand prize of £10,000. In addition, we’ll be promoting the winner’s work on our eBookstore at www.kobo.com.  The winner of the contest will be announced at the 2014 London Book Fair.

Please visit the Hot Key Books website at www.hotkeybooks.com for more details and good luck to all those who participate!
