Kobo in Conversation with….. Chris Hadfield, author of An Astronaut’s Guide to Life on Earth
Chris Hadfield was just nine years old when he made the decision of a lifetime.
He, like many of his friends and neighbours, was riveted to the TV, watching American astronaut Neil Armstrong take a walk on the moon -- one small step for a man but one giant leap for mankind.
“It was the original reality TV in all its unplanned scariness but at the same time it was magnificently inspiring,” Hadfield said. So inspiring, that he vowed that he, too, would become an astronaut and travel to space.
And he did. Hadfield became an astronaut, a space traveller, the commander of the International Space Station and now….author, of a great book, An Astronaut’s Guide to Life on Earth.
We were star-struck and over the moon when he visited Kobo HQ on launch day to tell us all about it.
It was a great visit from one of our heroes. Check it out:
