Kobo Wireless eReader – Hottest Holiday Season Must-Have!

Posted by Kobo Reads October  19, 2010

About three weeks ago we enabled our customers to pre-order our Kobo eReader directly from us at koboereader.com. We thought it was a good idea to help customers buy eBooks on kobobooks.com and to be able to conveniently purchase our reader from their homes. As of today, Kobo eReaders are available for shipping which we offer free anywhere in North America.

During the past two weeks, to our delight, we’ve received piles of pre-orders. The most popular color is onyx, followed by pearlized lilac – definitely an ‘in’ color for this fall. Our eReader comes with gorgeous quilted back, a unique and much-loved feature that makes holding the device easy and really comfortable. As one customer put it “it’s great to touch”.

The feedback from customers on the style and design of the new eReader has been overwhelmingly positive, and though we are a bit biased, we think our eReader is a smart and versatile (not to mention affordable) gift for the upcoming holiday season. You could really go the extra distance by pre-loading titles you know your mom/husband/wife/sister/friend would love to read over the holidays.

We are also selling soft-leather covers embossed with the Kobo logo in a few different colors, so you can purchase those at the same time. Although our eReaders are sturdy and tough (one customer commented last summer that the device was perfect for his cottage dock), covers are nevertheless a sensible way to protect them.

You can order your Kobo Reader for yourself or as a great gift for the avid reader in your life. And you can start building your library of eBooks right away, choosing among some 2 million titles, including best-sellers and eBooks for every taste and budget. With holiday travels fast approaching, we hope to see many of you on airplanes and trains holding a gorgeous, fun Kobo eReader and catching up on all your reading list – without having to carry books with you.
