Kobo is experiencing explosive growth and as part of that we’re thrilled to announce that Michael Tamblyn has been named Kobo’s Chief Content Officer. Michael has been with Kobo since the beginning and has been a driving force behind our vast library which now includes more than 3.2-million titles across 68 languages for more than 12-million users.
Last year, Michael was instrumental in negotiating the acquisition of France-based Aquafadas, which will enable Kobo to push the boundaries in how we provide our customers with the best in rich media content – from magazines and academic works, to comic books and kids’ books.
Michael’s goal is “getting the right book into a reader’s hands instantly.” In his new role, he will ensure that consumers have access to the content they want, when they want it – no matter where they are in the world.
