Helping people to read more is core to our values here at Kobo. Every day we come to work to make reading more accessible, more fun, and to help people carve out time in their days for this time-honoured tradition. We know that in most cases, reading starts at home, with families. With parents reading to their kids. To help families make digital reading a safe and fun activity, we created the Kobo Kids Store. With safe-search, allowance settings, and thousands of titles for everyone – children, tweens and young adults.

To ensure we had it “just right” we asked the Parent Tested, Parent Approved community of parent testers to take the Kids Store for a test drive using the new Kobo Arc 7HD tablet as well.

Here’s what they had to say:

“My daughter loves visiting the Kobo Kids store online and choosing her next read. With the budget I've preset she buys one or two books and then comes back to browse the site to see what her next great read will be. Kobo did a great job with the parental controls which I really appreciate!”

“This tablet is way more than the e-reader I was expecting and it is a perfect size to carry around!  It is a great and relatively inexpensive android tablet with books, apps, wifi, camera with movie making features and libraries you can customize for yourself.  This product is definitely good value for the price tag!”

To hear that Kobo is helping parents to make reading fun, and encouraging their kids to read in a way that’s safe, is something that we’re incredibly proud of.
